Carpenter
Carpenters specialize in working with wood to construct, install, and repair frameworks, furniture, and other wooden structures. They interpret blueprints, measure and cut materials, and use a variety of hand and power tools. Carpenters play a key role in construction and remodeling projects across residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
In New Jersey, anyone performing carpentry work on home improvement projects for consumers must register as a Home Improvement Contractor with the Division of Consumer Affairs. This includes providing proof of insurance and paying a registration fee. Apprenticeship training is highly recommended to gain skills and credibility.
